本校未委託校外機構、法人、團體或自然人辦理招生之相關事項。

入學申請 Application Instructions

一、申請資格 Qualification

1. 具外國國籍且未曾具有中華民國國籍，符合下列規定者，得依本辦法規定申請入學：
   A person of foreign nationality who has never held Republic of China (“R.O.C.”) nationality and who meets the following criteria is permitted to apply for admission to an educational institution, in accordance with the provisions of these Regulations:

(1)未曾以僑生身分在臺就學。
The person has never undertaken studies in Taiwan as an overseas compatriot student.

(2)未於申請入學當學年度依僑生回國就學及輔導辦法經海外聯合招生委員會分發。
The person has not been given a placement in the current academic year by the University Entrance Committee for Overseas Compatriot Students in accordance with the Regulations Regarding Study and Counseling Assistance for Overseas Compatriot Students in Taiwan.

2. 具外國國籍並符合下列規定，且最近連續居留海外六年以上者，亦得依本辦法規定申請入學：
   A person of foreign nationality who meets the following criteria and who in the immediate past has resided overseas continuously for at least six years is also permitted to apply for admission to an educational institution, in accordance with these Regulations.

(1)申請時兼具中華民國國籍，應自始未曾在臺設有戶籍。
A person who at the time of their application also holds R.O.C. nationality shall have never had household registration in Taiwan.

(2)申請前曾兼具中華民國國籍，於申請時已不具中華民國國籍者，應自內政部許可喪失中華民國國籍之日起至申請時已滿八年。
A person who before the time of their application also held dual R.O.C. nationality but no longer does at the time of their application shall have renounced their R.O.C. nationality with the approval of the Ministry of the Interior on a date at least eight full years before making their application.

3. 具外國國籍並兼具中華民國國籍，且於教育部外國學生來臺就學辦法中華民國一百年二月一日修正施行前已提出申請喪失中華民國國籍者，得依原規定申請入學，不受第(二)項規定之限制。
   A person who held both foreign nationality and R.O.C. nationality and applied for annulment of their R.O.C. nationality before the date of effect of the February 1, 2011 amendment to these Regulations may apply for admission as an international student in accordance with the provisions in place before the amendment and is not subject to the restrictions set out in Paragraph 2.
4. 具有國籍法第二條規定情形者，為本規定所定具有中華民國國籍。
   In these Regulations a person to whom any of the circumstances set out in Article 2 of the Nationality Act apply is deemed to have Republic of China (“R.O.C.”) nationality.
5.  外國學生依(一)、(二)點規定申請來臺就學，以一次為限；其繼續在臺就學者，入學方式應與我
    國內一般學生相同。

An international student applying to study at an educational institution in Taiwan in accordance with the provisions of the two previous articles is limited to only applying once. If a student wants to continue studying in Taiwan, their application shall be handled in the same manner as the admission procedures for domestic students.
外國學生有下列情形之一者，其於前項申請後，復申請繼續在臺就學，或再次申請來臺就學，不受前項規定之限制：

An international student in any of the following circumstances, who after applying to study in Taiwan in accordance with the preceding paragraph, is applying to continue studying in Taiwan, or is once again applying to study in Taiwan, is not subject to the restriction set out in the preceding paragraph.
(1) 於完成申請就學學校學程後，申請碩士班以上學程，逕依本校規定辦理。

If the international student is applying for admission to a master’s degree or higher-level program after completing the course of study at the educational institution to which they originally applied. The university to which the student is now applying shall handle the application in accordance with its regulations.

(2) 外國學生申請來臺就讀學士班以下學程，在國內停留未滿一年，因故退學或喪失學籍，得重   新申請來臺就學，並以一次為限。

If the international student applied to come to Taiwan to undertake a bachelor's degree or lower-level program in Taiwan and after coming to Taiwan stayed for less than one year for some reason then discontinued their studies or forfeited their student status, that student may lodge another application to come to Taiwan to study, but only one such further application is permitted.

(3) 符合第二點第一項規定之外國學生，申請入學大學醫學、牙醫或中醫學系以外之學士班學程，   並以一次為限。

An international student who meets the requirements set forth in Item (2), Paragraph 1, and applies for admission to a bachelor’s degree program other than medicine, dentistry, or traditional Chinese medicine, may do so only once.

外國學生經入學學校以操行不及格或學業成績考核未達規定、違反法令或校規情節嚴重致遭退學喪失學籍者，不得再依前二項規定申請入學。

If an educational institution in Taiwan where an international student was studying considers that their conduct or academic performance was unsatisfactory, or if the student seriously violated any ordinances or the regulations of the educational institution and the circumstances were serious and as a result, in accordance with the provisions of its regulations governing student awards and penalties had to discontinue their studies or forfeited their status as a registered student, the student is not permitted to re-apply to study in Taiwan on the basis of the provisions of the previous two paragraphs.

6. 如違反規定並經查證屬實者，撤銷其所獲准入學資格或開除學籍。

If an applicant is found, upon verification, to have violated any applicable regulations, their admission shall be revoked or, if already enrolled, their student status shall be terminated.

7. 外國學生具高中畢業資格者，得申請入學本校學士學位班。
   International students with high school diplomas are eligible to apply for undergraduate programs at JUST.
8. 外國學生身分審查：申請人以外國學生身分申請入學，須符合《外國學生來臺就學辦法》第4條之相關規定。本校於審查申請資格時，得要求申請人提供相關證明文件，以確認申請人於臺灣之入出境及停留情形。

International Student Status Review: Applicants applying for admission as international students must comply with the relevant provisions of Article 4 of the Regulations Regarding International Students Undertaking Studies in Taiwan. When reviewing application qualifications, the University may require applicants to provide relevant supporting documents to verify their entry, exit, and length of stay in Taiwan.

二、申請文件 Required Documents for Application

1. 二吋半身脫帽照片
   One recent 2-inch passport-style photograph
2. 切結書一份。
   Declaration / Affidavit
3. 國籍證明文件影本一份。
   One copy of proof of nationality.
4. 經我國駐外館處驗證或僑務委員會指定之保薦單位驗證之外國學校最高學歷或同等學力證明文件及歷年成績單影本各一份（中、英文以外之語文，應附中文譯本），或由原修業學校密封逕寄本校。
   One copy each of the highest academic diploma or certificate of equivalent academic qualifications and the complete academic transcripts issued by a foreign educational institution, duly authenticated by an overseas mission of the Republic of China (Taiwan) or a sponsoring organization designated by the Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC). Documents issued in languages other than Chinese or English must be accompanied by Chinese translations. Alternatively, the documents may be sealed and sent directly to the University by the issuing educational institution.
5. 本校之教學以中文為主，申請時須提交語言能力證明如下：
      Instruction at the University is conducted primarily in Chinese; therefore, applicants are
      required to submit proof of language proficiency as follows:
      1.華語文能力測驗（TOCFL）A2 級（基礎級）以上能力證明或相當等級之國際通用
        中文能力證明。
        Proof of Chinese language proficiency at Level A2 (Basic Level) or above of the Test of
        Chinese as a Foreign Language (TOCFL), or an internationally recognized Chinese
        language proficiency certificate of an equivalent level.
      2.主修語文或前一學校為中文授課之申請者，需繳交相關證明。
        Applicants whose major is a Chinese language–related field, or whose previous
        institution provided instruction in Chinese, are required to submit relevant supporting
        documentation.
6. 推薦書一份（一份中國語文教師推薦信，或能敘明申請者中、英文能力之推薦信）
   One letter of recommendation from a Chinese language teacher or another recommender who can assess the applicant's Chinese or English language proficiency.
7. 中、英文留學計畫書 STUDY PLAN (Either in Chinese or English). 
8. 財力證明 USD3,000元或 NTD90,000元以上或獲獎學金證明副本。財力來源可為家長或其他親屬。倘為其他親屬，則以所持戶籍謄本上所列，並能證明親屬關係者為原則；公費生或獎學金生應附可供採認之獎學金證明。

A copy of proof of financial support showing funds of at least USD 3,000 or NTD 90,000, or a copy of proof of scholarship.  The source of financial support may be the applicant’s parents or other relatives. If the financial support is provided by another relative, the relationship should, in principle, be verifiable through the household registration transcript or other relevant documentation proving the family relationship. Government-sponsored students or scholarship recipients shall submit valid proof of scholarship.

9. 入出國紀錄證明（必要時提供）：本校於審查申請人是否符合外國學生身分資格時，得要求申請人提供近三年內由內政部移民署核發之入出國日期證明書或相關證明文件，以查核申請人於臺灣之入出境及停留紀錄。
   Certificate of Entry and Exit Records (if required): When reviewing an applicant's eligibility for international student status, the University may require the applicant to provide an official certificate of entry and exit dates issued by the National Immigration Agency, Ministry of the Interior, or other relevant supporting documents, to verify the applicant's entry, exit, and period of stay in Taiwan during the preceding three years.

四、審查結果 Release of Admission Results

由國際處國際與兩岸招生及交流中心進行報名資格審查，再送至各系進行初審，經招生委員會議決議錄取名單後將審查結果通知以專函郵寄。
The International Cooperation & Cross-Strait Recruitment and Exchange Center of the Office of International Affairs will first review the applicants’ eligibility. The applications will then be forwarded to each department for preliminary review. After the Admissions Committee approves the admission list, the results will be notified to applicants by official letter.

五、報到及註冊 Registration and Enrollment

錄取之新生，應依錄取通知單之規定辦理報到手續，並應繳驗以下證件：
All accepted students should register with the school by the designated time and follow the regulations in the admission letter and provide the following documents:

(一)護照

Passport

(二)畢業證書及成績單

Diploma and Transcripts

※取得入學許可後，於辦理報到時，須繳交台灣駐外館處或經僑務委員會指定之保薦單位驗證之畢業證書及成績單(認證章正本)各一份（驗畢退還），始得註冊入學。
Upon receiving admission approval, applicants must submit their original diploma and academic transcripts, duly authenticated by an overseas mission of the Republic of China (Taiwan) or a sponsoring organization designated by the Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC), with the original authentication stamps, at the time of enrollment check-in. These documents will be returned after verification. Registration and enrollment will only be permitted upon successful verification of the required documents.

除學雜費外，額外收費明細如下：

In addition to tuition fee, other fees are as follows.

1.     學生平安保險費一學期約600元

Student safety insurance fee is about NTD 600 per semester.

2. 為維護國際學生健康，自入學註冊時均應參加六個月的傷病醫療保險約3,000元。領有有效居留證件之國際學生，於來臺連續居留滿6個月且期間只出境1次未逾30日，依法參加全民健保。（如有變動，須依相關規定辦理）。

All international students should purchase six months of injury medical insurance in about NTD 3,000 at the time of enrollment in the first semester. Those with a valid alien resident certificate (ARC) and stay in Taiwan for 6 months continuously or only leave Taiwan for less than 30 days within 6 months, can participate in the National Health Insurance (NHI) according to the law. Any change is subject to the applicable laws and regulations.

3. 除了學雜費及住宿費用外，生活費每學期約36,000元；書籍費依照所修習的課程而有不同。

In addition to tuition and accommodation fees, living expenses in Taiwan are estimated at approximately NTD 36,000 per semester and book fees vary based on the courses taken.

4. 新生體檢費約700，為基本檢查費，若需其他檢查項目，則依受檢醫院規定辦理。

Freshman Physical Examination Fee about NTD 700, the fee is only for the basic physical examination. To check other items, extra fees will be charged by the hospital.

5. 健康保險費約4,956，為一個學期6個月計算，依實際支付金額為準。

Health Insurance Fees about NTD 4,956, calculated for one semester (6 months), the actual payment amount may vary.

七、評分方式及錄取原則 Scores Calculation

八、退費標準與辦理時程 Tuition Fee Refund Policy

(一)依學生休、退學時間而訂有學雜費退費比例，如下：

Based on the students' withdrawal and dropout timing, different tuition fee refund percentages are listed as follows:

(二)註冊日（包括當日）前申請者：免繳費。已收費者，全額退費。

Applicants who apply on or before the registration day (including the registration day) are exempt from tuition fee payment. Whereas if fees have already been collected, a full amount of the fee collected will be refunded.

(三)於上課（開學）日（包括當日）之後而未逾學期三分之一申請者：學費、雜費退還三分之二。

Applicants who apply after the commencement of classes (the first day of the semester) but before one-third of the semester has elapsed: Two-thirds of the tuition and miscellaneous fees will be refunded.

(四)於上課（開學）日（包括當日）之後逾學期三分之一，而未逾學期三分之二申請者：學費、雜費退還三分之一。

Applicants who apply between the period of one-third of the semester and two-thirds of the semester since the commencement of classes (the first day of the semester): One-third of the tuition and miscellaneous fees will be refunded.

(五)於上課（開學）日（包括當日）之後逾學期三分之二申請者：所繳學費、雜費，不予退還。

Applicants who apply after two-thirds of the semester has passed since the commencement of classes (the first day of the semester): Tuition and miscellaneous fees paid will not be refunded.

九、修業年限 Academic Duration

學業年限、修課學分及授予學位：四年制學士班修業年限四年(8學期)，學生修業期滿，修滿系規定應修之科目學分數至少128學分及能力檢測，准予畢業，並授予學士學位。持英制高中（中學五年）學歷或畢業年級相當於國內高級中等學校二年級之國外或香港、澳門級同類學校畢業生，將增加應修畢業學分12學分。

Academic Duration, Required Credits, and Degree Conferment: The four-year bachelor’s degree program has a standard duration of four years (eight semesters). Students who complete the required period of study, earn at least 128 credits as prescribed by their respective departments, and fulfill the required competency assessments will be eligible for graduation and awarded a bachelor’s degree. Graduates of a British-system secondary school (five-year secondary education), or graduates of foreign schools or equivalent schools in Hong Kong or Macao whose final year of study is equivalent to the second year of senior high school in Taiwan, are required to complete an additional 12 credits for graduation.

十、獎學金 Scholarship

(一) 新入學之境外學生註冊後，給予入學第一學年獎助學金，每學期頒予商業類學系新臺幣17,000元整，工業類學系新臺幣18,000元整。

After registration, newly admitted international students will be awarded a first-year enrollment scholarship. Each semester, students in business-related departments will receive NT$17,000, and students in engineering -related departments will receive NT$18,000.

(二)在校之境外學生前一學期在校學業平均成績80分以上，且排名為班級前4%者，當學期商業類學系每名頒予獎學金新台幣35,000元整，工業類學系每名頒予獎學金新台幣37,000元整。

Overseas students who have achieved an average score of 80 or above in their academic performance in the previous semester and rank within the top 4% of their class are eligible for scholarships. For the current semester, students in business-related departments will receive NTD35,000, while students in engineering -related departments will receive NTD37,000.

(三)在校之境外學生前一學期在校學業平均成績75分以上，且排名為班級前10%者，當學期商業類學系每名頒予獎學金新台幣17,000元整，工業類學系每名頒予獎學金新台幣18,000元整。

Overseas students who have achieved an average score of 75 or above in their academic performance in the previous semester and rank within the top 10% of their class are eligible for scholarships. For the current semester, students in business-related departments will receive NTD17,000, while students in engineering -related departments will receive NTD18,000.

學業優良獎學金以大學部四年為限，且操行成績須達80分以上，本校將擇優發放，以領取一項為限。

The Academic Excellence Scholarship is limited to a maximum of four years for undergraduate students, and students must achieve a conduct grade of 80 or above. The scholarship will be awarded on a merit basis and is limited to receiving only one type of scholarship.

十一、注意事項 Please Note

(一)學歷成績單驗證、入境簽證須至台灣駐外館處或經僑務委員會指定之保薦單位辦理，並符合各該國駐外館處規定。
Applicants should go to Taiwan Overseas Missions for transcripts verification and visa application, and follow the regulations of the Taiwan Overseas Missions in their country.

(二)本校授課以中文為主，學生應具備基本之中文聽、說、讀、寫之能力；具相關中文能力檢定證明者，優先考慮。
Most of the courses are taught in Chinese. Applicants should have sufficient listening, speaking, reading and writing ability in Chinese. Applicants are strongly recommended to submit the Chinese Language Proficiency test report.

(三)錄取生未能依規定時間註冊入學者，得申請保留入學資格；經學校核准者，始可於次學年度入學，其適用之相關規定與入學學年度新生相同。
Admitted students who are unable to enroll before the registration deadline can apply for a one-year deferral of admission with the permission of JUST. Upon permission of JUST, these students can postpone their studies to the next school year. The regulations for the new students of that school year are also applicable to students who postpone enrollment.

(四)錄取生經註冊入學後，其學籍及相關事項，依本校學則之規定辦理；另有關學分抵免依抵免學分辦法，於規定時程內提出申請。

Upon completion of registration and enrollment, admitted students shall be subject to the University's Academic Regulations regarding student status and related matters. Applications for credit transfer shall be submitted within the prescribed period in accordance with the University's Regulations Governing Credit Transfer.

(五) 學生每學期學費：智慧創新學院(工科)資訊與通訊系及視覺傳達設計系約49,628元，其他院系約43,160元。在臺生活費用所需每學期約36,000元，另加學校住宿費用每學年約23,000元。
The tuition fee per semester is approximately NTD 49,628 for students in the Department of Information and Communication and the Department of Visual Communication Design under the College of Intelligent Innovation, and approximately NTD 43,160 for students in other colleges and departments. Living expenses in Taiwan are estimated at approximately NTD 36,000 per semester, in addition to on-campus accommodation fees of approximately NTD 23,000 per academic year.

(六)已報名或錄取之學生，如經發現申請資格不符規定或所繳交之證件有變造、偽造、假借、冒用等不實情事者，未入學者即取消錄取資格；已入學者開除學籍，亦不發給任何學歷證明；如將來在本校畢業後始發現者，除勒令繳銷其學位證書外，並公告取消其畢業資格。
If an applicant or admitted student is found to have failed to meet the admission eligibility requirements or to have submitted documents containing false or fraudulent information, including altered, forged, borrowed, or fraudulently used documents, their admission shall be revoked if they have not yet enrolled. If the student has already enrolled, their student status shall be terminated, and no academic credentials shall be issued. If such irregularities are discovered after the student has graduated from the University, the graduate shall be required to surrender their degree certificate, and the University shall publicly announce the revocation of their graduation qualification.

(七)申請住宿之一般境外生(含港澳僑外生)，前 20 名完成申請者可享有第一學年（兩學期）免住宿費之優惠（限 6 人雅房）。若欲選擇其他房型（4 人套房、4 人雅房或 2 人套房），則須自行負擔差額費用；另須繳交保證金每學期新臺幣 1,000 元。申請時請先至住宿選床登記系統完成登記(系統開放時間將另行通知)，並於開學後依規定辦理退費事宜。
For general international students (including students from Hong Kong, Macau, overseas Chinese, and other foreign students) who apply for on-campus housing, the first 20 applicants to complete the application will be eligible for a dormitory fee waiver for the first academic year (two semesters), limited to six-person standard rooms.
Students who wish to select other room types (four-person rooms with private bathrooms, four-person standard rooms with shared bathrooms, or two-person rooms with private bathrooms) must pay the difference in accommodation fees. In addition, a security deposit of NT$1,000 per semester is required.
Applicants must first complete registration through the Dormitory Bed Selection Registration System (the system opening period will be announced separately). Refund procedures shall be handled in accordance with university regulations after the semester begins.

(八)本簡章若有未盡事宜，悉依相關法令規定及本校招生委員會決議辦理。
If there are any matters not covered in this admission brochure, they shall be handled in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations and the resolutions of the University’s Admissions Committee.

(九) 本簡章中、英文內容如有不一致之處，以中文版為準。
In the event of any discrepancy between the Chinese and English versions of this admission brochure, the Chinese version shall prevail.
