Jinwen University of Science and Technology Implementation Guidelines for Scholarships for New Overseas Students and Academic Excellence (Doc. No. 132)

一、景文科技大學（以下簡稱本校）為吸引優秀境外學生（不含陸生及境外生相關專班學生）到本校就學，並減輕其在校就學期間生活壓力，訂定「景文科技大學境外學生新生入學暨學業優良獎助學金實施要點」（以下簡稱本要點）。

1. To attract outstanding overseas students (excluding students from Mainland China and students of overseas special programs) to study at Jinwen University of Science and Technology (hereinafter referred to as “the University”) and to reduce their financial burden during their studies, the University has established these “Implementation Guidelines for Scholarships for New Overseas Students and Academic Excellence” (hereinafter referred to as “the Guidelines”).

二、新入學之境外學生：
符合下列任一條件者，給予入學第一學年獎學金，每學期頒發：商業類學系新台幣17,000元整，工業類學系新台幣18,000元整。
（一）與本校簽訂學校合作協議書之境外學校或機構，推薦學生申請入學本校並附有校長或機構升學輔導主管薦函者。
（二）經海外聯合招生委員會以個人申請入學本校，將本校列為第一志願，並附有校長推薦函者。
（三）經教育部核定外國學生一般專班申請入學本校，將本校列為第一志願者。

2. Scholarships for Newly Admitted Overseas Students:

Newly admitted overseas students who meet any of the following criteria will be awarded scholarships for the first academic year after registration: NT$17,000 per semester for business-related programs, NT$18,000 per semester for engineering-related programs.
1. Students recommended for admission by an overseas school or institution that has signed a cooperation agreement with the University, with a letter of recommendation.
2. Students admitted through the Overseas Joint Admissions Committee via individual application, listing the University as their first choice, and providing a principal’s letter of recommendation.
3. Students admitted under the MOE-approved general program for foreign students, listing the University as their first choice.

三、已入學之境外學生學業優良獎學金

（一）在校之境外學生前一學期學業平均成績80分以上且排名班級前4%者：商業類學系每名每學期頒發新台幣35,000元整；工業類學系每名每學期頒發新台幣37,000元整。
（二）在校之境外學生前一學期學業平均成績75分以上且排名班級前10%者：商業類學系每名每學期頒發新台幣17,000元整；工業類學系每名每學期頒發新台幣18,000元整。
（三）在校之外國學生一般專班學生前一學期學業平均成績80分以上且排名前5%者頒發新台幣35,000元整，排名前10%者頒發新台幣17,000元整。
學業優良獎學金以大學部四年為限，且操行成績須達80分以上，本校將擇優發放，以領取一項為限。

3. Academic Excellence Scholarships for Current Overseas Students

1. Overseas students whose average academic grade in the previous semester is 80 or above and rank within the top 4% of their class will receive:
NT$35,000 per semester for students in business-related departments
NT$37,000 per semester for students in engineering-related departments
2. Overseas students whose average academic grade in the previous semester is 75 or above and rank within the top 10% of their class will receive:
NT$17,000 per semester for students in business-related departments
NT$18,000 per semester for students in engineering-related departments
3. Overseas students enrolled in the MOE-approved general program for foreign students whose average academic grade in the previous semester is 80 or above will receive:
NT$35,000 per semester if ranked within the top 5% of the class
NT$17,000 per semester if ranked within the top 10% of the class
The Academic Excellence Scholarship is limited to four years for undergraduates, conduct grade must be 80 or above, and only one type of scholarship can be received.

四、熱心協助招生之境外學生，使得非本校學生之學子，藉由熱心推薦新生經各種入學管道(不含境外生相關專班)進入本校且完成註冊入學，並於學期間未辦理休(退)學，被推薦人需於當學年度我要讀景文系統統填寫推廌人姓名及學號，由教務處國際與兩岸招生及交流中心完成審查者，每名發給獎助學金2,000元。一位新生限一位校內境外學生推薦。
轉學考熱心推薦獎助學金為在校境外學生及應屆畢業境外學生推薦非曾就讀本校之學生經本校轉學考管道註冊入學，並於學期之間未辦理休（退）學，被推薦人 考生 報名時需於轉學考報名系統填寫推薦人姓名及學號，開學後經教務處國際與兩岸招生及交流中心同樣比照辦理。
完成審查，發給推薦人獎助學金 2,000 元。一位轉學生限一位校內學生推薦。
本項獎助對象之境外學生，不含境外生相關專班學生。

4. Overseas students who actively assist with student recruitment by recommending non–Jinwen University students to enroll through any admission channel (excluding special overseas programs), complete registration, and do not take a leave of absence or withdraw during the semester, are eligible for a referral scholarship. The referred student must enter the recommender’s name and student ID number in the “I Want to Study at Jinwen” system during the same academic year. After review and approval by the International and Cross-Strait Admissions and Exchange Center of the Office of Academic Affairs, the recommender will receive a scholarship of NT$2,000 per referred student. Each new student may have only one overseas student as a recommender.
For transfer examination referrals, current overseas students and graduating overseas students who recommend a student who has never attended the University and is admitted through the transfer examination channel, completes registration, and does not take a leave of absence or withdraw during the semester, are also eligible. The referred transfer student must enter the recommender’s name and student ID number in the transfer exam registration system at the time of registration. After the semester begins, the International and Cross-Strait Admissions and Exchange Center will conduct the same review and disbursement process.
After the review is completed, a scholarship of NT$2,000 will be awarded to the recommender. Each transfer student may have only one on-campus student as a recommender.
This scholarship does not apply to students enrolled in special overseas programs.

五、除第四點獎助學金於學期中發放外，其餘獎助學金於每學期末發放，獲獎助學生於獎助學金發放前須完成註冊作業。

5. Except for the referral scholarships (Point 4) which are awarded mid-semester, all other scholarships are disbursed at the end of the semester. Scholarship recipients must complete registration before disbursement.

六、已辦理休（退）學者不得領取，名額不予遞補。領取後辦理休（退）學者，已領之金額需全額退還學校。

6. Students who have taken a leave of absence or withdrawn are not eligible. If withdrawal occurs after disbursement, the full amount must be returned.

七、本要點獎助學金由教務處提供符合資格之學生名單逕行辦理，學生無須提出申請。

7.The Academic Affairs Office will prepare a list of eligible students for scholarship issuance. Students are not required to apply.

八、產學合作國際專班學生入學及學業優良獎助學金另依「景文科技大學產學合作國際專班學生獎助學金要點」辦理；國際專修部華語先修學生入學獎助學金另依「景文科技大學國際專修部修業要點」辦理。

8. Scholarships for admission and academic excellence for students in the Industry-Academia Collaboration International Program are handled in accordance with the “Guidelines for Scholarships for Students of the Industry-Academia Collaboration International Program of Jinwen University of Science and Technology.”
Scholarships for admission for students in the International Foundation Program (Chinese Language Preparatory Program) are handled in accordance with the “Study Guidelines for the International Foundation Program of Jinwen University of Science and Technology.”.

九、本要點經行政會議通過，校長核定後公布施行。

9. These Guidelines are implemented after approval by the Administrative Meeting and ratification by the President of the University.

若中英文版本有任何出入，以中文版本為準。
In case of any discrepancies between the Chinese and English versions, the Chinese version shall prevail.
